My home studio is equipped with professional studio lights, large softboxes, both colorful and classic backdrops and an unlimited amount of treats! It's perfect for dogs, cats and smaller pets. The quality of the photographs produced results in some of the most astonishing prints of any size, and won't go unnoticed when published on social media. This type of photoshoot is open for lots of creativity, from majestic poses to portraits with props and even hilarious photos while catching treats!
How do I prepare my pet?
If your pet is very energetic and excitable please make sure they have had a chance to exert some of their energy before the photoshoot. We can achieve the best results when your pet is at their calmest. On the other hand if your pet is very shy or unsure of new enviroments I will do my best to make them feel like home and relaxed before we start the session.
It is also a good idea to give your pet a good brush before the photoshoot and to wipe their paws to make sure they're not muddy. If you're pet has dribbles you might want to bring a towel or a cloth with you.
It also important to note that there will be flashing studio lights, if your pet is easily scared of similar things or has epilepsy please let me know. There's an option to take the photographs with continous lighting.
Treat-catching portraits
Portraits of your pet catching a treat give the most hilarious results and show your pet's goofiest side. At the same time it is the most challenging form of studio photography, as each pet is different and usually takes at least few tries for the photographer to learn pet's movement and pace at which they are catching treats. To ensure we capture the moment perfectly in some cases the photoshoot might take longer - but worry not, the effect is worth it!
Treats are included but if you wish to bring your own or if your pet has special dietary requirements please feel free to do so. It's also possible to use smaller toys, but due to limited space and proximity of studio equipment treats are a safer and preferable choice.
